New Year, Fresh Vision

Breakthrough Starts Here

2023 has come and gone. 2024 is here and we desperately need to be empowered and encouraged by God’s Spirit. If you sense God has more for your life, this 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting is a great spiritual discipline to develop. As you practice seeking Him first, He will move on your behalf like never before. You will start to see the power of prayer impact your relationships, work, family, and every area of your life. We believe that this corporate time of prayer & fasting will also be a catalyst for the greater things God wants to do in and through our church this year. Embark with us on this journey JAN 14th – FEB 3rd leading up to our church’s special Annual Celebration & Vision Meeting. We will also have a Worship Night on Friday, February 2nd.

“This is the best time for the church to come together to discover all God wants to do in and through us.”

21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

We encourage fasting during this 21 Days of focused prayer as a church family. You may also choose to fast at other times during the year for your own spiritual development. Your personal fast should present a level of challenge, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do.

Types of Fasts

Complete fast – in this type, drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.

Selective fast – This involves removing certain things from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet. Instead, you consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

Partial Fast – This fast is sometimes called the “Jewish Fast” and involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or from sunup to sundown.

Soul Fast – This is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast.

Whatever fast you choose – replace that time, habit, or thing with a time of focused prayer. Use the prayer guide (download by clicking the prayer picture above) to help you focus your prayer time and requests.
